Block Paving Driveways & Patios
A driveway takes the weight of a car every day, so the base is everything. We excavate to the right depth, lay and compact a structural sub-base, set kerbs and edgings to hold the paving in place, and lay the blocks in herringbone or 45-degree patterns, jointed to stay level. Drainage is built in where the ground needs it. Block paving is our bread and butter across Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross and Marlow — a hard-wearing, characterful finish for driveways, patios and paths that clients tell us they're genuinely pleased with.

Tarmac & Asphalt Surfacing
Tarmac is the quick, hard-wearing, cost-effective surface for a driveway or a larger area — laid smooth, even and to falls so water runs off cleanly. We prepare and compact a firm base, edge it to hold the surface true, and lay the tarmac to a clean finish that stands up to weather and traffic. We also resurface and repair existing tarmac drives that have cracked, sunk or gone tired, rather than replacing them wholesale where a repair will do. Practical, durable and laid to last, across Milton Keynes, Beaconsfield and the wider county.

Gravel & Shingle Driveways
A loose surface is only as good as the base and the edges holding it. We build gravel and shingle driveways and paths on a firmly compacted, free-draining sub-base, with a membrane beneath to keep weeds down and edgings that stop the material creeping into borders and lawns. It's an affordable, quick-draining finish with a soft, natural look — and a favourite for period and rural properties across Buckinghamshire where a block or stone surface isn't quite what the plot calls for.

Patios & Garden Landscaping
Patios are where cutting corners shows first: lay stone on a thin bed of sand and it rocks and lifts within a few years. We supply and lay Indian sandstone and porcelain patios on a properly excavated and consolidated sub-base, set to correct falls so water drains away from the house, and jointed to stay put through the winters. And we don't stop at the paving — we take on whole gardens: clearance, levels, new turf, planting and the outdoor space designed and built as one scheme, so it reads as one finished garden from the day we hand it over.

Brickwork, Walling & Steps
On sloping and terraced plots, retaining walls do real structural work — holding back ground, creating usable levels and framing patios and beds. We build them on proper foundations in brick, block or natural stone, raise decorative and boundary garden walls, and cut steps square and to consistent risers to link the levels of a garden safely. We also carry out repairs to existing brickwork and walling — repointing, rebuilding and making good — so a tired or damaged wall is put right rather than left to get worse.

Fencing, Turf & Finishing
A finished garden needs its edges and its greenery as well as its hard surfaces. We supply and install fencing and fence posts set into concreted foundations so they stand plumb and true, and lay fresh turf on a properly prepared base so it roots and establishes. Built as part of a wider driveway or landscaping job, the fencing, turf and planting tie the boundaries, the levels and the paving together — so you get a completed garden from one team, rather than a patio surrounded by unfinished edges.

Then we give you a clear, no-obligation quote so you can see what's going in under the surface and where the money goes. The visit and the quote are free.

Groundwork & installation
Our own team carries the whole job — excavation and levels first, then a properly consolidated sub-base, kerbs and edgings, drainage where the ground needs it, and finally the paving, tarmac or gravel laid to falls and jointed to last. Clients consistently note how tidy we keep the site and how quickly the work is done.

Walk-round & sign-off
We walk the finished job with you, deal with any snags on the spot and leave the site clean and tidy — a point clients single out in their reviews. One recent driveway was completed within 48 hours, from first dig to finished surface.

Do you charge for a site visit or quote?
No. The first site visit and the quote that follows are free and come with no obligation. Patrick comes out, walks the plot, works out what the ground and levels need, and gives you a clear price for it — whether it's a single patio, a driveway or a full garden.
Will I deal with Patrick himself, or a salesperson?
Patrick and the team. This is a family-run firm — Patrick quotes the work and is on site through the job, which is why clients name him personally in nearly every review.
What surfaces do you work with?
Block paving, tarmac, and decorative gravel for driveways; Indian sandstone and porcelain for patios; and brick, block and natural stone for walls, steps and edgings — plus fencing and turf to finish.
How do I know the paving is built to last?
We excavate to depth, build a properly consolidated sub-base, set edgings to hold the paving, and lay to correct falls that drain — with drainage built in where the ground needs it. It's the base you don't see that decides whether the surface above stays true.
How long does a driveway or patio take?

Do you do smaller jobs, or only full driveways?
